I love being a mom, a wife and a nurse. Please, don't take this post as me complaining about being any one of those things!! But I have often thought of things I would like to do that just aren't possible now because I have taken another path. It doesn't mean I am not happy on the path that I am on, it just means there were many paths to choose and sometimes it is fun to think of those other paths!!!!
1.) What other job or career would you have chosen could you do it over?
Wow, my answer for that? I would have LOVED to be a flight medic! I think the adrenaline rush of that would be awesome and I always love to help people. I suppose I could still take that path, but I would have to wait until my kids are much much older :0)
2.) Where else would you like to live?
Ok, by now if you haven't notice I LOVE MY CHICKENS! I live in one of the most densly populated (per square mile) areas of the country outside NYC. That being said, there isn't a lot of open land. I would LOVE to move to a place where there was land lots of land. I would like to have a BIG garden, lots of animals and no neighbors in site! I am sure if I actually lived that life I would want to be back in the city. The grass is always greener on the other side!
Can't wait to hear your answers and see your questions on two questions!!!
1) I would love to be a "successful" singer or a movie star, both of which isn't at all possible in this life time. They have their troubles, but the life is so very different from average people that it is worth a try. :-)
ReplyDelete2) I too would like what you've described. And actually dream about it everyday. Enough land so that I don't see my neighbor's tree roots growing on my side yard would be very nice.
Thanks for playing this week, it's great to meet you.
I still want a career away from home after children or while they are here. I want to be a psychologist.
ReplyDeleteAnd I would love to live in Hawaii :) It is lovely.
Aloha.
I actually don't think that I would want any other job than the one that I had for 36 year - teaching biology to middle school students. Although if I could sing, I would have liked to do that on the side!
ReplyDeleteBeing retired, I new do get to live where I want - with my motorhome - south in the winter, north in the summer, and HOME where my family and gardens are!
Barb
I came really close one time to taking EMT training, I don't regret my decision not to but it would have been an exciting career move.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in GA, moved to Alaska on a whim and met my husband. We have lived in CA, OR and now WA. Maybe when we retire I would like to go back to the Northern CA coast.
1) I love being a mom too and that's a very fulfilling job. My second job would be a well paid writer, if I could!
ReplyDelete2) I would love to live in an area where the weather is constant, not too hot and not too cold.
1. I would have to say that I chose the perfect career for me--teaching. I love my summers off, and it's such a rewarding job. However, if I had to choose a different job for ONE day for fun, I'd want to be a marine biologist.
ReplyDelete2. I would like to live closer to family. =D I'm a suburban kind of girl. As long as I'm not too close to neighbors or too far away, I'm okay.
