Finished for Friday

My "new" old idea is my 15 minute cleaning party. I have learned over the years that I tend to put off doing things that overwhelm me. If I see one basket of laundry...no problem I can do that, but if you show me 10 baskets of laundry I get overwhelmed. Having a two year old, a 7 month old and a husband who doesn't like to help out around the house, my household chores often overwhelm me. I feel like "what's the point? no matter how much I clean it won't even put a dent  in the mess". That is when I decided to have my 15 minute cleaning party. I set a timer and try to get as much done as I can. I have to make myself accept what was done and move on with my day. You would be surprised how much you can get accomplished in 15 minutes!! So what did I "finish" today?

  1. Cleaned the toilet and sink in the bathroom
  2. Put a load of wash in the washer.
  3. Picked up all the toys.
  4. Cleaned up lunch.
  5. Organized the diaper caddy.
  6. Disinfected the kitchen counters.
  7. Organized the food for the babysitter.
This post is more for me than you. It help me realize while there are for more things I can put on my "to be done" list, I still accomplished a lot in 15 minutes. Can't wait to read what you've done this week!
