Give the kids some benedryl, take 3 advil and call me in the morning.

"Give the kids some benedryl, take 3 Advil, and call me in the morning." If I were a doctor, that would have been my advice to myself after the day I had today. My two WONDERFUL children hardly slept all night, then cried and whined all day. My husband works at night and sleeps during the day, so I had no one to help me last night with the crying children or during the day to give me a much need break from being a mom. The last straw came at about 9 pm. Daddy was getting ready for work, Savannah (who was still up because she wants to see daddy before he leaves) was running around the house making her dolly go pee pee every where and Atlanta would not stop crying. All I wanted to do is pick up the toys and vacuum. Mind you now, we do not have a large house. This should have been a relatively easy task. I tried to settle Atlanta with some toys . Nothing works. Then Savannah jumps on the couch with her dolly, the remote control knocks Atlanta in the head and more crying!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't take it anymore! I strapped my 23lb 7month old (he is HUGE) into the baby Bjorn. My husband had to help because it was obvious he did not fit. I was only able to get half of him in, so I held the other half up with my hand. I somehow managed to vacuum the entire house like this while Savannah ran laps around me singing at the top of her lungs (you have to be heard over the vacuum right?) So I am sitting here blogging with a heating pad on my back while the children are nestled in a benedryl induced coma snug in their bed. Was I wrong for doing this? Am I a bad mom? I will ponder this after taking some Advil for my aching back and going to bed. I truly hope for a good nights sleep. I need at least ONE GOOD NIGHT.

This blog entry is dedicated to all the tired moms out there.
